CVC short i worksheet

This free CVC short i worksheet pack gives preschool, kindergarten, and grade 1 students structured practice decoding and writing six high-frequency short i (/ɪ/) words: pig, pin, wig, lid, bib, and fin.

Because pig and pin share the same initial consonant /p/ while changing only the final consonant, this word set prevents first-letter guessing and trains students to read all three sounds left to right.
